I Support the Human Rights Torch Relay
The Human Rights Torch Relay (HRTR) is an international campaign created to draw attention to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) worsening human rights violations and to press for change. The founding premise of the HRTR is:
The Olympic Games cannot coexist with human rights abuses.
The communist regime was granted the right to host the Olympic Games after it pledged to adhere to the Olympic charter and improve its human rights record. Instead, its human rights abuses have worsened.
The regime continues to persecute Tibetan Buddhists, Christians, Uighurs, Falun Gong practitioners, rights advocates, reporters, and defense lawyers. It uses Falun Gong and other prisoners of conscience as a living organ pool for its lucrative organ transplantation industry. It supports other totalitarian regimes in perpetrating slaughter upon their citizens—in Darfur, Burma, Zimbabwe, and North Korea.
I sign my name to say: The Olympics and crimes against humanity cannot coexist in China.
The HRTR was launched by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG), an international organization dedicated to investigating and ending the communist regime’s eight-year-long persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and the forced harvesting of their organs. These petitions will be sent to the Olympic Committee.
